Cardio and Fitness Classes

At Platinum Health and Fitness, you’ll find training equipment that you are familiar with such as Elliptical Trainers and Treadmills and some you’ve probably not seen before, including the Hoist Roc-It line, as well as the Trixter Xdream bike. Both reflect the very latest in fitness research and provide the essential elements of a total body workout.

Like all of the workout machines, their use is supervised by a great team of fitness professionals, who provide private instruction, along with group classes in activities such as Total Body Spinning, X-treme Cycling, High Intensity Aerobics, Pilates Body Shaping, Zumba, Boot Camp Body Shaping and P90X. A complete schedule of classes is listed on through this website and a description of the classes we offer are below.

Adam's Abs:

Adams Abs is a 30 minute, twice a week core training class. The class is designed to be adaptable for any skill level. We alter exercises for more advanced students by giving slight variations, and same goes for beginner students. This class has a laid back atmosphere with a friendly group of regulars. We’re looking forward to seeing you at Adams Abs! *If you have a mat, please bring one- if you don't have one, the gym will provide one for you*

 

Barre Fitness:

Want a great workout while building self-confidence? Barre fitness as a class is one of the newest and most popular workouts! Barre Fitness combines dance and acrobatics centered on a vertical pole. This class requires significant strength, flexibility and endurance that we will help you build! These forms of exercise increase core and general body strength by using the body itself as resistance while toning the body as a whole. At this level, a typical class begins with strength training, dance-based moves, squats, push-ups, and sit-ups and gradually works its way up to the spins, climbs and inversions.

 

Booty Boot Camp:

If you want a class that works legs and your glutes then this is the class for you! In this class we specialize in those areas that will make your buns burning! Although, we focus mostly on the legs and glutes, we still work everything by combining different exercises to make you feel great!

Boot Camp:

Are you looking to take your fitness to the next level or just looking for a challenge? Then boot camp is for you! This total-body workout will focus on a wide range of fitness components to include strength training, cardio, core, speed and agility. Each class is different from the week before, improving your body. So, come start your day with a full body work out! You are sure to be dripping by the end of this class!

 

Cardio Circuit:

Want the results you want? This is a full body work out that will make you sweat in no time! This class is a form of body conditioning and resistance training using high-intensity aerobics. It targets strength building and muscular endurance.

 

Cardio Core (MWF):

Come start your day with a great feeling of accomplishment! Cardio core, is a high intensity class. We start each class with thirty minutes of spinning on the bikes. Followed by different work outs, that cater to your whole body. Some days we will take it down a notch and do Pilates and yoga, while other days we will lift to tone you up, and at times we will jump into a full intense boot camp. Wednesday however, will always be our very intense ab session. All levels may enjoy this work out; we will modify anything to your needs.

So, grab a bottle of water, a good attitude, and come get motivated! And always give your personal best!

Cardio Core (Saturday):

If you want high intensity, full body cardio, and strength, wake up and get ready to work. Each class is different! Bring layers for when we go outside (when the weather is nice). For those days we are indoors, we do a variety of different work outs. We do spin, core, lifting, and more! Come find out what we have in store!

Insanity:

Insanity - This is a cardio-based total-body conditioning program that is based on the principles of MAX Interval Training. This allows the participant to achieve new training heights, resulting in more calories burned, faster results, and a more efficient metabolism. This class is designed so that people of all levels of fitness can participate and it requires no equipment.

 

Kick-Boxing:

A cardio workout that leaves you sweating each class! This class is a high intensity, martial arts inspired workout that works your whole body! With its aerobic kickboxing, full of punches, kicks, and squats you will be glistening!

 

Mini Spin:

Mini Spin - (30 minute class) An indoor stationary cycling class that combines basic cycling movements with motivational coaching, breathing awareness, and heart rate training. This non-impact, individually paced, cardio class will definitely move you! This class has intervals, hills, sprints, climbs, runs, and jumps all to music hand-picked to motivate and inspire! This is a great workout if you want to burn calories and increase endurance. Come on in for the ride!

 

Pilates:

Pilates is an exercise system that is focused on building strength without bulk, improving flexibility and agility, and helping to prevent injury. It involves a series of controlled movements that engage both your body and mind. The primary focus is on awareness of the spine, proper breathing, core strength and flexibility.

Spinning:

Spin is an indoor stationary cycling class that combines basic cycling movements with motivational coaching, breathing awareness, and heart rate training. This non-impact, individually paced, cardio class will definitely move you! This class has intervals, hills, sprints, climbs, runs, and jumps all to music hand-picked to motivate and inspire! This is a great workout if you want to burn calories and increase endurance. Come on in for the ride!

 

Stretching:

Come and relax! With this comfortable setting, we combine, Yoga, Pilates, and other moves that stretch out your body! *Bring a mat if you have one, if you do not- the gym will provide one for you*

 

Total Body Sculpting:

Targets all the components of fitness in one class! This class is designed to shape and tone the body. Body Sculpting is a strength training workout that combines flexibility and cardiovascular conditioning using weights. All fitness levels welcome.

 

Total Body Toning:

Come for a challenging workout challenging workout that will define your muscles and balance your physique.  It will define and strengthen your muscles by constantly challenging your body using weights and other equipment. Come prepared to build your strength, stamina, agility, and a positive outlook on exercise!

 

P90X: 

P90x with Circuit Training-

This class follows the P90x program with a twist! We add circuit training in and other stretching such as many Yoga techniques. It is a great way to start off your week!

Things needed: Determination, Willingness to learn, and, Hunger for results

 

Zumba:

Are you ready to party yourself into shape? Forget the workout, just lose yourself in the music and find yourself in shape at the original dance-fitness party. Zumba® classes feature exotic rhythms set to high-energy Latin and international beats. Before you know it, you'll be getting fit and your energy levels will be soaring! It's easy to do, effective, and totally exhilarating. And you do not need to know how to dance, just keep moving!
